Who else wants to know the absolutely fastest way to safely lose 20 pounds? If you are anything like most of my readers, the truth is that you probably have your hand raised high! It’s true.the amount of Americans right now that are dangerously overweight has never been higher, and the statistics for the future look grim, gloomy and even worse.
Results: Both companies claim an average of about 2-3 pound per week weight loss, with some dieters loosing as much as 5 pounds per week (I have done this several times. Once, I lost eight pounds in a week.) I spend a lot of time on weight loss forums and I believe both of these diets work if you follow them. Of course, with any diet plan, you are not going to get results if you cheat (at least more than a little – no one is perfect) or don’t stick with it.
So what was the “secret”? Well it’s certainly not any of those “Weight Loss Secrets” that appear on my Facebook ads. An updated overview on fundamental aspects for nutrisystem at target. The “secret” is actually an understanding of nutrition and how your body works. Once you truly understand your body’s requirements and how to meet them, how to cleanse the toxins from your body that have you locked in a fat producing loop, and how to take advantage of your body’s own natural hormones, you’re off to the races.
Any eating plan that is below 1200 calories per day could be dangerous. You may not be getting enough energy and nutrients. You may feel deprived and frustrated, both physically and mentally. In the long run, metabolism slows in order to conserve energy with very low calorie diets.
Support / Counseling: One major difference in the two plans is the level of one on one support. Both plans offer weight loss counseling. But with Jenny Craig, your counselor is assigned. There are clinics throughout the country and you are encouraged to meet your counselor face to face once per week. You’ll also most likely pick up your food there. If you sign up for Jenny online, you can communicate via telephone.
Low Calorie diets don’t work. All you do is destroy your body’s metabolism. My sister who was also grossly overweight, having never lost the extra pounds after childbirth went on one of those dreadful meal substitution diets (low calorie) a year later she was no lighter and trying to return to normal eating was impossible as the smallest amount of food piled the weight on. She had totally destroyed the fat burning engine. I will tell her story at another time but I can tell you she looks great today after following my advice.
I know this sounds stupid, I know it sounds illogical, but this is the key to long term weight loss. If we consume less calories without actually restricting them we avoid all the problems associated with diets. You won’t feel hungry all the time, because you will eat whenever you are hungry. Your metabolism won’t slow down and you will not have reduced energy levels, because your brain recognizes that you are eating whenever you’d like. No starvation response will ever be triggered.
Secondly, because you have no need to give food a thought for most of the day there is no need for continual obsession. The only thought is for your main meal. Therefore you become more aware of the importance of the right foods to put in your body. This new knowledge becomes invaluable if you later reduce to one shake per day or possibly have no need for a meal substitute food plan at all. In any event, you are less likely to return to the old habits that produced the excess weight in the first place.
